26th May 2011 Windsurfing: WSM Wind Direction: WSW -> WNW Wind Stength: F6-7, later F4-5 Surf / Sea State: messy Air Temperature: 13C Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sun & showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wild, wild Weston. At least it was until I hit the water. Everyone had been coming back in changing down to 4.2m sails, so that's what I rigged. Mistake. Unfortunately, I compounded the mistake by refusing to change up, believing the wind was bound to pick up again. It did, but only after I came off the water. There must be a word for that? Got a couple of planing runs in, which was fun. Sad to say, the last time I used my 4.2m sail was in 2005, and the last time I used my JP 78 was over 2 years ago. |
